The production will be cast age appropriately with actors who are eighteen years of age and older. Current Rancho Cucamonga Community Theatre members (members as of July 1, 2010) may reserve an audition appointment in advance. All others will audition on a first come, first served basis. All those auditions should be prepared to sing at least 16 bars from a Stephen Sondheim show and bring accompanying sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. All those auditioning should bring a non-returnable photograph of themselves, a resume, and a 75-word biography. Some familiarity with the play will be helpful at the auditions.

For detailed production and audition information, including the tentative rehearsal schedule, please visit the Lewis Family Playhouse website at http://www.lewisfamilyplayhouse.com. There is a participation fee of $50 required for all those cast in the play.

In Into The Woods, a Baker and his Wife learn the Witch next door has cursed them with childlessness. They embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell. Everyone’s wish is granted at the end of Act One, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous results. What begins as a lively irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and stories we tell our children. Into the Woods features a Tony Award-winning book and score including “No one is Alone,” “On the Steps of the Palace,” “Agony,” “Last Midnight,” and “Children Will Listen.”

Performances of Into the Woods are November 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21, 2010. Tickets are available at a cost of $17.00 for adults and $15.00 for youth/senior. Tickets are available at the Lewis Family Playhouse Box Office at 909-477-2752 or online at http://www.lewisfamilyplayhouse.com (additional fees apply when ordering online).
