Shaked and Speared at Fringe

June 18, 2010

Among the Hollywood Fringe Choices coming up is “Shaked and Speared.” Here’s how Mutineer Theatre describes it:

Mutineer Theatre Company (MTC) takes you beyond the famous endings of Shakespeare’s celebrated works and into the comedic world of “The Afterplays.”

Recently discovered in the sock drawer of one of our company members, these FINAL final acts are obviously the work of old Will himself. You can trust us. The typewritten pages, crumbling and yellowed (from Jimmy’s sock drawer, mostly) prove the Bard’s old adage “All’s Well That Ends Twice.”

MTC, which happens to be dedicated to original work, considers it an honor to be able to stage these prestigious world premiere pieces that have been previously unknown to the world. Come laugh at the comedic aftermath of some of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies. [Producer’s note: There will be no math.]

We’ll see you anon.

June 20 7pm; June 27 6pm. The Lounge Theatre 2 6201 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood. Tickets.
