Blood and Thunder rolls again to benefit Haiti

May 3, 2010

Keith Bolden

The cast of Blood and Thunder, the intimate play that takes place shortly after Hurricane Katrina’s devastation, reprises Friday night at the Salter Theatre on the campus of Beverly Hills High School. Proceeds from the $5.00 tickets will go toward recovery efforts in Haiti.

The play ran for a few months at the small Hyperion Stage Theatre in Silver Lake (29 seats). The move this Friday into the Salter, which seats about 250, will help to prepare the cast for the upcoming Last Frontiere Theatre Conference in Valdez, Alaska. Cast member, Keith Bolden, says they leave May 14 for the weeklong conference.

Blood and Thunder also has been accepted into the New York Fringe Festival.

Friday, May 7, 6:30 pm, 241 South Moreno Dr., Beverly Hills. Cast: Candice Afia as Charlie; Keith Arthur Bolden as Marcus; Tony Williams as Quentin.
